Healthy emotional life is a balance of pleasant and unpleasant;
As we have discussed, avoiding the unpleasant parts of life is not a productive or healthy emotion regulation strategy.
Cultivating positive emotions, however, helps us bounce back and be resilient in the face of stress. It expands our capacity to think and act in wholesome ways by allowing us to savor good experiences.
