Think of a time you felt (perceived) stress 22

So, let’s stop for a moment and do an experiment.

Think of a time when you felt stressed. It could be something small, something recent or something in the past. (Stop and take a minute to remember)

Identify what was stressing you out.

Try to remember how you were feeling. Say the names of the feelings silently to yourself.

In this instance, was something happening that you didn’t want?

Or, in this instance, were you not getting something you wanted?

(You may ask them to raise their hands – no discussion of the particular stress should be done.)

It looks like this is at the root of a lot of our stress.

Let’s take a look at what happens to the body, mind and feelings when this occurs in our life, that is, we get what we don’t want.
