A newly published case study by Stephanie Dalager and colleagues (Advances in Mind-Body Medicine, 2018) reports that teaching mindfulness to adolescent girls at risk for T2D offers distinct advantages for T2D risk and for treating depression. Some implications offered by this case study include promoting social connectedness through the group format and using facilitation techniques that foster concrete understanding of abstract concepts.
